The Northern Irish star has taken the lead over American Ryan Moore and yesterday's leader, Korean Seung-Yui Noh.
Cleveland native Jason Dufner is having an excellent tournament thus far, shooting 5-under today to improve to 9-under and a third place tie with Noh.
Columbus resident and Australian native Jason Day, who shot 3-under yesterday, has yet to tee off.
Also having a good day so far is former Masters Champion Charl Schwartzel, who is 4-under through six so far on the day, good for a tie for eighth place.
