Urban Meyer's Buckeyes moved to 2-0 on Saturday with a solid win over Central Florida, and were promptly rewarded with a one-spot jump in the latest SB Nation BlogPoll for their efforts.
At No. 13 overall, Ohio State currently checks in as the second-highest Big Ten team behind Michigan State (No. 8) in the rankings. The Buckeyes even managed to pick up one of the 94 first-place votes doled out in Week 3, and were among Alabama, LSU and USC as teams receiving at least one first-place nod by voters.
Not to be outdone by their in-state rivals, the Ohio Bobcats also made their first appearance in the BlogPoll at No. 25 this week. The Bobcats followed up a thorough domination of Penn State in Week 1 with a 51-24 thrashing of New Mexico State on Saturday, and narrowly beat out the BYU Cougars and Oregon State Beavers for the poll's final spot.
