Ohio State's Devin Smith Makes Incredible Touchdown Catch Against Miami

The Urban Meyer era got started off with a bang on Saturday, as the Ohio St. Buckeyes dominated Miami (OH) to the tune of 56-10. As is often the case with a quarterback in Meyer's system, Braxton Miller had a strong game. He went 14-for-24 on his passes, putting up 205 yards and two touchdowns through the air. On top of that, he rushed for 161 yards off of 17 carries.

While Miller was the overall star of the show, it was wide receiver Devin Smith who stole the show for the Buckeyes. He had a one-handed touchdown catch that is an early candidate for play of the year or, at the very least, reception of the year. It was the first touchdown pass of the day too, and it gave the Buckeyes a 7-3 lead (Miller would go on to find Corey Brown on the next drive and then about 100 rushing touchdowns later, the game was over).

After the jump, we've got a .gif of the catch. So check it out.
