2012 U.S. Open Scores: Novak Djokovic Cruises In Third Round

Novak Djokovic defeated France's Julien Benneteau to advance past the third round of the 2012 U.S. Open on Sunday. The No. 2 seed of the Grand Slam Tournament defeated Benneteau, the No. 31 seed player, in sets of 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2.

Djokovic used 13 aces to Benneteau's four at Arthur Ashe Stadium as the Serbian advanced to the fourth round, where he will face either Alexandr Dolgopolov or Stanislas Wawrinka. Dolgopolov, the No. 14 seed from Ukraine, and Switzerland's Wawrinka, the No. 18 seeded player, will play their match later this afternoon at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

Also in action Sunday are No. 4 seed David Ferrer against Australian Lleyton Hewitt. American Andy Roddick will take on Italy's Fabio Fognini, and No. 1 women's player Victoria Azarenka will face Anna Tatishvili.
