Eager to jump out to a perfect 2-0 start in Mid-American Conference play, the Kent State Golden Flashes will welcome the Ball State Cardinals to Dix Stadium on Saturday for a pivotal early-season test.
The Flashes should enter with plenty of momentum after shutting down Buffalo in a 23-7 victory last Saturday to claim their first MAC win, but will have to face a Ball State team that also proved itself last weekend with a thrilling win over South Florida.
Kent State tailback Dri Archer may need to continue his touchdown streak on the ground in order for the Flashes to impose their will and play to their strengths. The 5'8 Archer has scored a rushing touchdown in all three games this season despite having only 30 rushing attempts, and could definitely prove to be the game's biggest difference-maker if Kent State can get him the ball in space.
