Saturday afternoon's game is poised to be a battle of multi-faceted quarterbacks, as Logan Thomas and the Virginia Tech Hokies play 'host' to Munchie Legaux and the Cincinnati Bearcats on neutral ground.
With just two games under their belt, Cincinnati has dominated their competition thus far with convincing wins over Pittsburgh, and Delaware State. The catalyst for these victories has been quarterback Munchie Legaux, who has moved the ball effectively both with his arms and legs, to the tune of 555 yards on the year. Legaux will be tested on Saturday by the Hokies defense, ranked 23rd in the nation in points allowed.
Virginia Tech have a dual-threat weapon of their own, and one who is considerably better known nationally in Heisman hopeful Logan Thomas. Thus far his season hasn't gone as well as expected, as Thomas has looked scatter-shot at times, throwing four interceptions to pair with his seven touchdowns. That being said, he's still a dangerous player for Cincinnati to deal with, and they'll need to hope their defense is prepared to account for a QB of his stature.
