U.S. Open 2012: Serena Williams Cruises Into Quarterfinals

Serena Williams had no problems during her fourth round match at the 2012 U.S. Open on Monday.

The fourth-seeded Williams downed unranked Andrea Hlavackova, 6-0, 6-0, to advance to a quarterfinal match on Wednesday. Williams had 31 winners to Hlavackova's nine, and Williams also had an 8-2 edge in aces. It was a near-perfect performance, as Williams won 60 of the match's 89 points.

Meanwhile, in another fourth-round match, the second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska was upset by 20th-seeded Roberta Vinci, 1-6, 4-6. Vinci had a 29-18 edge in winners.

On the men's side, Top-seeded Roger Federer advanced after Mardy Fish withdrew due to undisclosed heath issues. Third-seed Andy Murray is finishing up the day, and currently is in the first set against 15th-seeded Milos Raonic.
