College football injuries: Big Ten injury report

Ohio State running back Jordan Hall is one of many injured Big Ten players as the conference moves into the heart of the season.

A number of Big Ten players are dealing with injury as the season enters conference play.

Ohio State has three players nursing injuries. Running back Jordan Hall is day-to-day after leaving Saturday's contest against Michigan State with a knee injury. Running back Warren Ball is also out with a foot injury. He has no time table for return. Defensive back C.J. Barnett is day-to-day with an ankle injury. He missed the last two games for the Buckeyes.

The Michigan Wolverines suffered no notable injuries this past Saturday but have been dealing with multiple player injuries all season long. Five players have already been declared out for the remainder of the season including cornerback Blake Countess.

Minnesota is still without starting quarterback MarQueis Gray who is nursing a high ankle sprain. He is not expected to play Saturday.

For Michigan State, defensive tackle Tyler Hoover is considered day-to-day with a sore calf.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers suffered no significant injuries Saturday but have three players who will miss the remainder of the season: linebacker Zaire Anderson and wide receivers Tyler Wullenwaber and Tim Marlowe.

Purdue has two players who are considered day-to-day. Tackle Patrick Bade and wide receiver Ishmael Aristide are both dealing with knee injuries and are in question for the Boliermakers' upcoming game with Michigan.

For Illinois, wide receiver Darius Millines is questionable for Saturday with an ankle injury which has forced him to miss the past two games. Lineman Hugh Thornton is also considered day-to-day after missing Saturday's game.

Penn State has two players who are day-to-day. Guard Mark Arcidiacono and defensive end Pete Massaro are in question for Saturday's contest with Northwestern.

Indiana lost wide receiver Kofi Hughes Saturday with a leg injury. He is considered day-to-day. The Hoosiers have been forced to play all of 2012 without quarterback Tre Roberson who is out for the season with a broken leg.

Iowa has three players who missed Saturday's contest with Minnesota and who are considered day-to-day: defensive back B.J. Lowery, lineman Austin Blythe and running back Damon Bullock.

Wisconsin looks to get back defensive lineman Brendan Kelly and Pat Muldoon soon. Each missed the Badgers contest Saturday with Nebraska, Kelly with an injured hamstring and Muldoon with an injured thumb.

Northwestern had three players miss Saturday's game: defensive backs Jimmy Hall and Daniel Jones and wide receiver Mike Jensen.
