2012 U.S. Open Scores: Serena Williams Advances To Finals

The finals are set for the women's singles bracket at the 2012 U.S. Open, as Serena Williams will look to continue her recent streak of dominance against No. 1 Victoria Azarenka.

Since losing in the first round of the French Open early in 2012, Williams has been on a tear, dominating both Wimbledon and the Olympics in London. She has kept that momentum going through the U.S. Open bracket and earned a spot in the finals with a dominating win over Sara Errani in a semifinals match on Friday.

In 64 minutes, Williams won in straight sets, losing just three combined games to the Italian. With nine aces, she dominated on serve and was never broken by Errani.

Her opponent on Saturday will be Azarenka, the world's top player, who had to battle back from a first set loss to Maria Sharapova on Friday. After losing the first set 6-3, Azarenka was able to capitalize on 42 unforced errors by Sharapova to earn her spot in the final.

The final in women's singles is scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
