With a 20-point victory over Towson, the Kent State Golden Flashes got their season out to the right kind of start, but face a much tougher test in Kentucky on Saturday. However, the Wildcats are entering the game after a bad loss to the Louisville Cardinals in their opener.
The Kentucky defense struggled to stop any Louisville attack, as Teddy Bridgewater completed all but two pass attempts and running back Senorise Perry carved the Wildcats defense for 108 yards rushing on 16 carries.
If the Golden Flashes hope to pull the upset on Saturday night, they'll need similar offensive success as Louisville. Running back Dri Archer stole the show in the Kent State opener with a 98-yard kick return and two rushing touchdowns despite just eight carries.
Game time/date: 7:30 p.m. ET, Saturday
Location: Commonwealth Stadium, Lexington, KY
TV Schedule/Streaming: CSS
Odds: Kentucky favored by 7 points.
