The Browns received good news heading into their season opener with the Philadelphia Eagles at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.

Neither CB Joe Haden nor LB Scott Fujita will serve previously reported suspensions -- at least in Week 1. Haden allegedly failed a drug test, but the suspension was overturned upon appeal. Fujita, one of the four players suspended for his alleged involvement with a bounty system implemented with the Saints, received word an independent appeals committee disallowed the league's suspension for the time being.

While it'll definitely boost a potentially outstanding Browns defense, the bad news is that they'll be tested significantly by the potent Eagles offense.

Philadelphia is stocked with offensive firepower, particularly multi-dimensional running back LeSean McCoy. Limiting his impact will be a critical piece of any game plan that would bring Cleveland to the upset victory.

FOX has coverage of the game starting at 1 p.m. ET with Dick Stockton and John Lynch on the broadcast.
