The Cleveland Browns hold the sixth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, and most mock drafts around the Internet have them taking a pass rusher.
Our own Dan Kadar at SB Nation projects the Browns to pick LSU DE/OLB Barkevious Mingo. With rumors that new coach Rob Chudzinski may switch to a 3-4 defense, Mingo's versatility is a valuable asset in the transition:
He's agile and active enough to be a linebacker but he can play with his hand down as well. Of course he'll need to improve as a run defender, but adding a player that may need to be game planned around will benefit the defense as a whole.
Rob Rang at CBS Sports has Cleveland taking Texas A&M DE Damontre Moore. Like Kadar, Rang also sees pass rushing as the team's biggest need:
The roster appears ripe with young talent but could use a dynamic pass rusher. Moore...accomplished the rare feat of leading his team in tackles (80), tackles for loss (20) and sacks (12.5) through the regular season.
Walter Football is projecting Florida State DE/OLB Bjoern Werner to the Browns in their latest mock:
He can fit both the 4-3 and 3-4, so he makes sense for whichever scheme Rob Chudzinski plans to run.
This year's draft class is thin at quarterback, but it's a bumper crop for pass rushers. If the Browns decide to stick with Brandon Weeden for another year, they have a lot of options at this spot to reload the front seven.
