What has been likely all week is now official: rookie Colt McCoy will get his first NFL start this Sunday in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. McCoy is being thrust into action after the two quarterbacks in front of him – Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace – were injured in last Sunday’s 20-10 loss to the Falcons.
Browns Coach Eric Mangini likes what he has seen so far form McCoy in practice:
“He seemed really comfortable. He seemed really comfortable behind center and he seemed really comfortable in that role. He broke the team down yesterday which was the first time he has done that but that’s probably what he was used to doing for years and years being in that role and he just fell back into that role.”
