Pennsylvania Governor: We've Become A Nation Of Wusses

New, 1 comment

The NFL decided early on Sunday to postpone the Sunday Night game between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles until tonight due to a pending snowstorm. The storm battered the East Coast, closed ariports and create havoc for holiday travelers but Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell feels the NFL's decision was the wrong one.

"We've become a nation of wusses. The Chinese are kicking our butt in everything," he added. "If this was in China do you think the Chinese would have called off the game? People would have been marching down to the stadium, they would have walked and they would have been doing calculus on the way down."

Wow. Not only does Rendell call us a bunch of wussies, he takes time to stereotype another culture as well. Really Ed? Calculus.

Anyway, it is hard to argue with Rendell's point. Safety concerns aside, if you can't play football in the snow, how can the NFL even take the chance of hosting a Super Bowl in New York City?
