Musgrave Has Helped Develop Falcons' Quarterback Matt Ryan

The Browns may have found their man for the vacant offensive coordinator position on Pat Shurmur's coaching staff.  Bill Musgrave, who has spent the past five seasons as the quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons is expected to be hired by the Browns in the near future.  Musgrave was interviewed in Cleveland on Tuesday.

Jason LaConfora of NFL.com reports that Musgrave knows Shurmer's offense well.

Musgrave has vast experience in the West Coast offense, which Browns president Mike Holmgren prefers, and has helped several quarterbacks thrive.

Musgrave has plenty of experience - both developing quarterbacks and as an offensive coordinator.  He was the quarterbacks coach with the Washington Redskins(2005) and Oakland Raiders(1997) and was offensive coordinator with the Jacksonville Jaguars(2003-04), Carolina Panthers(2000) and Philadelphia Eagles(1998)

Pat Shurmer has indicated that he initially call plays on offense, which means the new OC will need to focus on building a gameplan and developing Colt McCoy.  With his experience handling Matt Ryan, Musgrave seems like a perfect fit.
