NFL Playoff Picture Week 17 - AFC

The early games are nearly complete here in Week 17 and the AFC Playoff Picture is coming into clear focus.  Here is what we have, with one game left this afternoon - Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts - left to go:

↵

#1 Seed - New England Patriots - The Pats will finish 14-2 and have scored 30+ points in 8 straight games.  That ties an NFL record set in 2000 by the Rams and in 2007 by the Patriots.  So much for Randy Moss.

↵

#2 Seed - Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers will get the precious BYE week.  That will allow Pittsburgh to get healthy which means trouble for whoever they face.

↵

#3 Seed - Kansas City Chiefs/Indianapolis Colts - The Chiefs need a win to lock up the #3 seed.  If they lose, the Colts can take the #3 seed with a win over the Titans this afternoon.

↵

#4 Seed - Indianapolis Colts/Kansas City Chiefs/Jacksonville Jaguars - The Colts are in with a win, and the #4 seed would be theirs, unless the Chiefs lose, then the Colts are the #3 seed and the Chiefs fall to #4.  Should Indy lose, and the Jaguars win, it would be Jacksonville at #4.

↵

#5 Seed - Baltimore Ravens - The Ravens are locked in to the #5 seed regardless of today's action, now that the Steelers have beaten(or will beat) the Browns.

↵

#6 Seed - New York Jets - The Jets are in and will be the #6 seed no matter what.
