NFC Championship Game: Sam Shields Ends Bears' Hopes With 2nd INT

The Green Bay Packers are NFC Champions after beating the Chicago Bears 21-14 today in Chicago. Packers’ DB Sam Shields had two interceptions, the second coming on 4th down with the Bears deep in Packers territory.

Chicago can hold it’s head high, being down to their third quarterback after Jay Cutler was injured and Todd Collins completely ineffective. Down 14-0 when he entered the game in the 3rd Quarter, Hanie engineered two Bears touchdown drives and nearly brought Chicago all the way back.

Hanie did throw two interceptions, one of which was a touchdown by Packers’ NT B.J. Raji. His 4th Quarter INT gave the Packers a 21-7 lead.

Aaron Rodgers wasn’t at his best – 17/30, 244 yards and 2 INTs – but made enough plays with his arm and his feet to keep the Packers out front. Jay Cutler was 6/14 for 80 yards and an interception before being hurt in the 2nd quarter.
