Madden NFL 12 Roster Update, Week 7: Browns See Four Players Go Up

The Madden NFL 12 roster update following week six of NFL action is set to go live on Friday for PS3 and Xbox 360 users. The Cleveland Browns actually come out of this update pretty well, with four increases in rating to their players against two decreases, despite a loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

One of the decreases is pretty significant though, as Peyton Hillis drops from a 90 overall down one point to 89 - which doesn't sound all that significant, but any time a player loses his ninety, it's a big deal. One has to wonder if it's only because he took a loss on his injury rating, or if the folks at EA actually think he's regressed. Either way, make the jump for their full list of changes.

Increases

LB D'Qwell Jackson 85 to 86
LB Kaluka Maiava 69 to 70
DL Phil Taylor 76 to 78
WR Greg Little 70 to 72

Decreases

CB Dimitri Patterson 71 to 70
HB Peyton Hillis 90 to 89

Changes

HB Armond Smith released
HB Chris Ogbonnaya signed
CB Joe Haden lowered on depth chart with injury

It's funny that they moved Joe Haden down the depth chart right when he's back practicing with the team (he practiced on Friday and did some running on Thursday). I've always found the depth chart moves for week-to-week injuries to be a little frivolous, but it is what it is. Not sure if Hillis deserves another decrease at this point, it seems to be an over-reaction, but if a decrease in his "injury" rating dropped his overall, then it's understandable.
