Browns Randy Lerner Named Fourth Worst Owner In NFL By Forbes

Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner is the fourth worst owner in the NFL, at least according to Forbes.

The Browns sit in last place in the ultra-competitive AFC North with a modest 3-4 record, but the team has not made it past five wins in a season since 2007, and they are on their third head coach in four years -- and who knows how long Pat Shurmur will last.

Forbes based its rankings on change of value and winning percentages over the past five years, naming John Mara and Steve Tisch of the Giants the best owners with Robert Kraft of the Patriots coming in second place and James Irsay of the Colts rounding out the top three. Williams Clay Ford, Sr. of the Lions was named the very worst.

If it is any consolation, Lerner is not even close to being the most mocked sports owner in his own city -- Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, sporting a bizarre and vindictive public personality ever since LeBron James took his talents to Miami have made him by far the easiest targets for satire and scorn in Cleveland.
