Browns vs. Jaguars Scoring Update: Teams Scoreless After First Quarter

The Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars are scoreless after a quarter that featured five penalties. Jacksonville is currently driving down the field on the legs of rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

The 10th overall pick in this year’s draft has 10 rushing yards on the last two plays, one of which went for a first down. Maurice Jones-Drew leads the Jaguars in rushing yards with 19 on four carries. Chris Ogbonnaya leads the Browns with 15 yards on five carries.

Returning after suffering the affects of a concussion, Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi has one reception for 13 yards.

Browns free safety Mike Adams missed a few plays with an undisclosed ankle injury and was replaced by rookie Eric Hagg. The Browns are already without starting strong safety TJ Ward today.

Tight end Benjamin Watson leads the Browns in receiving with two catches for 18 yards. Thus far, Colt McCoy has completed five of seven passes for 40 yards. Gabbert has 30 yards passing, completing four of six attemps.
