The Cleveland Browns snapped a bad losing skid on Sunday, with a good win over the Jacksonville Jaguars that was almost taken from them in the final minutes by a Jaguars comeback drive that fell just short on fourth down as time expired. Cleveland held on to get the win and moved to 4-6 on the season, still fourth place in the AFC North, but making strides to compete in what most consider the most competitive division in the NFL right now. It snapped a three-game losing skid.
Cleveland will get another chance to advance in the AFC North division, as they've got games coming up against Cincinnati, Baltimore and Pittsburgh over the next three weeks. Up first is Cincinnati, who was on top of the division just a couple weeks ago, but consecutive losses has dropped them to third place. Andy Dalton has the team at 6-4 and clearly still competing in the division and for the playoffs, but missing A.J. Green on Sunday made their comeback over the Ravens incomplete.
Cincinnati jumped to an early lead in their last outing against the Ravens, but the defense couldn't stop Ray Rice, who ran for 104 yards, and Torrey Smith once again had a huge game, with 165 receiving yards. Their defense has been strong, though, and the Browns will have their hands full trying to get ahead with Colt McCoy leading the way. They've been strong defensively, but Andy Dalton has progressed an awful lot this season.
The Bengals won the first meeting between these two teams, in week one. Cedric Benson rushed for 121 yards and led the Bengals to a 27-17 win, but both teams look awfully different at this point. That might not be a good thing for the Browns. The game is set for 1:00 p.m. eastern on Nov. 27.
