Pro Bowl Rosters 2012: Left Tackle Joe Thomas Makes AFC Team For Browns

The 2012 Pro Bowl rosters were announced tonight on NFL Network and left tackle Joe Thomas was the only Cleveland Brown named to the starting AFC roster for the second season in a row. It is Thomas' fifth Pro Bowl selection and he is the first Browns player to accomplish that in his first five seasons since Jim Brown.

While Thomas is the only starter for the Browns, two others were named as alternates to the 2012 Pro Bowl. Linebacker D'Qwell Jackson was named second alternate at inside linebacker. Josh Cribbs was named second alternate at kick returner and third alternate at special teams. They will go to the game if players at their respective positions are injured or play in the Super Bowl, which will prevent them from playing.

Last season Browns' center Alex Mack was an alternate and scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Mack was the beneficiary of the second lateral which allowed him to rumble into the end zone for the AFC in the NFC's 55-41 win.
