Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy was knocked out of the game in the first quarter after a hit by Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Arthur Jones. Backup Seneca Wallace replaced McCoy but could not keep the Browns drive moving.

The Ravens took a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter after running back Ray Rice finished off a 61-yard drive with a 6-yard run for the touchdown. Rice already has 87 yards rushing for the Ravens as Baltimore has pounded the ball on the ground with 17 caries so far compared to only three pass attempts.
