Talks regarding a new CBA between the NFL and the NFLPA will continue, but the deadline to make roster moves comes to an end tonight and the Cleveland Browns were able to make a couple just in time.
↵First came word that the Browns had signed quarterback Seneca Wallace to a 3-year contract extension. Wallace knows the type of West Coast Offense the Browns are going to run, and despite the fact Wallace wants the chance to start, he'll be in a good position in Cleveland. Colt McCoy is going to get every chance to start, but believe me when I say Pat Shurmur - and Mike Holmgren - will have no problem going to Wallace if McCoy struggles with the offense.
↵The Browns also signed linebacker D'Qwell Jackson to a one year contract. Jackson looked to be on his way to a solid career in Cleveland before a torn pectoral ended his 2009 season prematurely. Jackson came back in 2010 but re-injured his chest during Training Camp and missed all of 2010.
↵The Browns also made a qualifying offer to defensive back Eric Wright.
