NFL Power Rankings: Browns Start Preseason Near Bottom Of NFL

Power Rankings in the NFL are meaningless, but that doesn't mean they aren't fun to talk about.

Power Rankings in the NFL don't mean all that much, but they do provide a topic on conversation during the week between games. ESPN released their initial NFL Power Rankings for the 2011 preseason and for the Browns, there isn't much improvement from the end of 2010.

ESPN has the Browns at #28, down a spot form the last rankings. The rankings are voted on by ESPN.com's John Clayton, ESPN.com's Ashley Fox, AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky, NFC West blogger Mike Sando and AFC North blogger James Walker.

The Green Bay Packers come it at #1, fair since the Packers are the defending Super Bowl Champions. The New England Patriots, who went 14-2 last season, are #2 with the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers rounding out the Top-5.

The rest of the AFC North has the Baltimore Ravens at #9, and the Cincinnati Bengals dead last at #32.

The Browns will face the Green Bay Packers in their pre-season opener from Lambeau Field on Saturday night.
