With the news that Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III has officially declared for the NFL Draft it appears that Colt McCoy's time in Cleveland is limited. The Sporting News recently released its 2012 NFL Mock Draft and like many out lets, they see Griffin as the future of the Browns franchise at quarterback:
4. Cleveland Browns: Robert Griffin III*, QB, Baylor. Yes, the Browns have a ton of needs, but if they don't address their quarterback issues, they will continue to lose. Griffin can be the solution; he has a rare combination of athleticism, arm strength, deep passing ability and character.
Cleveland also has the No. 22 pick int he first round thanks to a previous trade with Atlanta, and they could be in the market for an offensive playmaker there as well. The Sporting News see them selecting South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffery to give Griffin a solid target to throw to.
