NFL Draft 2012: Maycock's Top Five Quarterbacks Include Robert Griffin III

The Cleveland Browns have had their pick in the NFL Draft telegraphed for a good long while now, with everyone and their mother giving the Browns Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III somewhere in the draft. There's a shot the Browns can get him at 4th overall or they could trade up to the 2nd pick to get him, but Griffin is usually the name on the docket.

Draftnik Mike Maycock had released a ranking of the best players available by position in the NFL draft which ran in a crawl along the bottom of the screen during the Senior Bowl, and Griffin naturally made the cut in a somewhat shallow overall class for QBs. Buffalo Bills coverage man Chris Brown was nice enough to type them all out for everyone and stick them online, so they're available to see for anybody who wants a record of them. Robert Griffin III is currently the 2nd Quarterback on the list as expected right behind Andrew Luck, with Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill coming in third. The fourth and fifth spots are mysteriously empty and labeled as 'open competition.'

It might be a somewhat small class for QB's but getting one of the consensus top two is hardly a loss for the Browns with such a need for a field general.
