The Cleveland Browns wide receiver news got worse Monday as Joshua Cribbs, Mohamed Massaquoi and Travis Benjamin did not participate in practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron beacon Journal is reporting. Cribbs is sitting out with concussion he suffered in last Thursday's 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, while Massaquoi is recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the Week 4 contest. Its still unclear why Benjamin is sitting out.
The news means that only four wide outs are practicing -- Greg Little, Josh Gordon, Jordan Norwood and Josh Cooper -- and one of them is a practice squad player (Cooper).
For the Browns, its critical that the trio of wide outs get healthy. Currently, the wide receiving corps is lacking depth and production has been down as top-target Little has had issues dropping passes.
Entering Week 5, running back Trent Richardson has the most receptions on the team with 15, while Little (11 catches) barley leads in receiving yards (151).
