Week 8 NFL odds: Chargers favored to beat Browns on Sunday

Odds makers see the San Diego Chargers as 2.5-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns for Sunday's game.

While the San Diego Chargers have struggled of late, they're still favored to beat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday by odds makers. The spread isn't particularly big- the Chargers are currently favored by 2.5 points- but the Browns are still considered the underdogs at they try to improve their 1-6 record.

Last week against the Indianapolis Colts, the Browns nearly won their second consecutive game even though starting running back Trent Richardson has been limited with a rib injury. He's still not entirely healthy, which presumably plays into the reasoning behind the odds makers preferring San Diego.

The Chargers have lost three of their past four games, including back-to-back losses to the New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos, but they're still .500 on the season with a talented roster. San Diego's run defense, currently the best in the league in terms of yards allowed, is likely expecting to shut down a Browns offense that lacks Richardson.
