Injured Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is expected to play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Richardson aggravated the injury in Cleveland's 17-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts last week and had been limited in practice this week. He carried the ball only eight times for eight yards against the Colts and didn't play in the second half.
For the season Richardson - a rookie first round pick out of Alabama - has 348 yards on 103 carries and four rushing touchdowns. He's averaging 3.4 yards per carry. He's caught 24 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown. He's rushed for more than 50 yards in a game just twice this season and for more than 100 yards in a game just once.
The Chargers come into the game at 3-3 and are second in the league in defense against the run. The Chargers are giving up an average of just 71.2 yards per game.
