The Browns' defensive leader left the game with a couple of minutes to play in the first half with what was reported to be a head injury. Rookie L.J. Fort replaced Jackson, and by the day's end led the team with 10 tackles. Jackson had five tackles before he went to the locker room.
The loss of Jackson came in the midst of the Giants scoring off two Cleveland turnovers. New York scored three times in the final three minutes of the first half to dissolve the Browns' 17-10 lead and take control of the game.
Jackson has not had concussion problems in the past. He did, however, miss 26 games in 2009 and 2010 because of two pectoral muscle injuries.
