Dimitri Patterson injury: Browns CB injures ankle, on crutches after Giants loss

Dimitri Patterson, one of the few bright spots in a weak secondary for the Cleveland Browns through five games, left Sunday's game against the Giants with an injury to his ankle. According to sources he was later seen on the sidelines in a walking boot:

Patterson had 22 tackles and three passes defensed in three starts for Cleveland coming into Sunday's game. Even though he played in 14 games in 2011 he was approaching his season totals from last year in terms of tackles. He had 28 tackles while only starting one game.

This season Patterson was second on the tackles behind T.J. Ward, who had 27 stops before Sunday's game. Patterson had three tackles and two passes defensed in Sunday's game against the Giants before leaving.
