Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon was fined $20k for the hit he issued Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed on a block during the Ravens 25-15 win over the Ravens on Nov. 4.

Gordon knocked Reed to the ground while blocking for Travis Benjamin and got flagged on the play. Gordon still isn't sure what he did wrong. "It was just that he wasn't looking and it was a blindside hit. He never looked my way at all so that's really where the penalty came from," Gordon said. He is going to appeal the fine.

Put in that situation again Gordon said he's not sure what he'd do. He said if he didn't block Reed, the play would have lost yards, so he needed to make the play.

"I may just push him," he said. "I may just set a screen and stand there. I definitely won't hit him, that's for sure."

Gordon said regardless of the penalty and the fine, he will not change his style of play and sometimes things just happen in a game. The rookie receiver has 19 receptions for 417 yards and four touchdowns on the season.
