The Baltimore Ravens have used a balance attack and shutdown defense to take a 14-0 lead against the Cleveland Browns after the first quarter.
Cleveland has thus far produced two three-and-outs, while Baltimore has methodically moved the ball with 11 first downs. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco went for 70 yards on 6-for-6 passing, while running back Ray Rice took 11 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown.
Rice scored on an 8-yard run with 8:37 to play in the first quarter to finish off a 10-play, 70-yard drive. Fellow running back Bernard Pierce scored before the end of the quarter with a 12-yard touchdown run to cap a 12-play drive that ate up nearly seven minutes on the clock.
The Browns have 18 total yards to 156 by the Ravens.
Brandon Weeden has gone 1-for-4 and nine of those yards. Running back Trent Richardson has rushed twice for nine yards and caught the single Weeden completion. He also had a fumble that was recovered by the Browns.
