With the NFL at its midseason point and the college football season nearing its end, NFL draft speculation has begun to build. With the Cleveland Browns all but out of the playoff race, the draft is beginning to loom large, and ESPN's Mel Kiper has some ideas regarding who the Browns might pick in the first round.
Kiper sees pass rush and offensive line as Cleveland's top needs, and sees them picking Alabama guard Chance Warmack. Warmack is a standout member of Alabama's stellar offensive line and is ranked at No. 6 overall on Kiper's Big Board. Kiper calls Warmack "the total package at guard" and praises his combination of both size and agility.
According to Kiper, the Browns need to continue to build around its offensive talent, including running back Trent Richardson and wide receiver Josh Gordon. Kiper sees adding to the offensive line as part of that investment, and with Joe Thomas entrenched at left tackle, they may look to upgrade the interior.
