Cleveland Browns fans will soon get a peak inside the new-look franchise, as owner Jimmy Haslam has partnered with the Travel Channel on an upcoming reality show titled NFL Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns. Cameras have been following the Browns for a few weeks, and the first episode of the show will air on Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. ET. According to Haslam, the show will have a Hard Knocks bent, but with a different focus.
"It's based a little more on the travel aspect of an NFL team, but you do see us practice and you do see time with the players and coaches," said Haslam, who purchased the Browns for more than $1 billion in October "So I call it a softer version of Hard Knocks."

It's certainly not unprecedented for a new owner to look for ways to bring more publicity to his new team, especially one as perennially out of the spotlight as the Browns. Haslam told SI.com that he feels like the Browns are an "underdeveloped brand" and that the show will help boost their national profile. The show is a partnership between the Travel Channel, NFL Films and RIVR Media, a production company run by Haslam's wife, Dee.
The cameras were presumably with the team when they broke a woeful road losing streak on Sunday with a 20-17 win over the Oakland Raiders.
