The Cleveland Browns have started to put together some wins, with two-straight victories, including Sunday's 20-17 win over the Oakland Raiders. They're just 4-8 on the season, but that's probably more wins than they were expected to get. Most importantly, the team is showing progress on both sides of the ball, and because of that, they're moving up the weekly power rankings.
Joel Thorman of SB Nation released his Week 14 power rankings, and he has the Browns at No. 25.
25. Cleveland Browns (LW: 28, 4-8): The Browns can end the season on a high note. They've won four of seven and their next two are winnable.
That's up three spots from last week following their win, and they're above teams like the San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals and the Carolina Panthers. They remain below teams like the St. Louis Rams and New York Jets.
Progress is important for the Browns due to the fact that they have an offense that is built on two or three rookies, and some other young players on top of that. Many felt they'd have a very bad season, and four wins might be the total guessed by most. If they can win another game, they'll beat those expectations.
