All it took for the Cleveland Browns to move up the Interweb's various power rankings was to win consecutive games. So winning games means more respect and acknowledgement of being a semi-good team? What a novel concept.
The Browns' wins came against a Ben Roethlisberger-less Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders, so it is only somewhat impressive and at 4-8 they aren't going to be particularly high in anyone's rankings, but they are trending up. Best of all, things can get much better down the stretch, as SB Nation's power rankings pointed out in moving them from 28th to 25th this week:
25. Cleveland Browns (LW: 28, 4-8): The Browns can end the season on a high note. They've won four of seven and their next two are winnable.
Elsewhere, ESPN gave the Browns a three-spot bump as well to No. 24, but it was FOX who thought highest of Cleveland. They have the Browns all the way up at 20th, one spot higher than they were a week ago.
Win and people think better of you. Crazy.
