NFL Draft 2012: Mocking The Draft Looks At Robert Griffin III

The Cleveland Browns have been shying away from Baylor QB Robert Griffin III in some mock drafts recently ever since it became apparent that there was some interest from teams like the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks who could trade up to get the Heisman winner. It's still likely that the Browns will look to get RGIII on their team though, as they lack the sort of weapons on offense that can take their team to the next level with Colt McCoy playing the QB position.

SB Nation's own NFL draft-centric blog Mocking The Draft has a wonderful feature called 'Tale Of The Tape' where they dissect players using their college tape. Their latest target is RGIII, and it gives some nice insight as to the play style of Griffin and just what might make him so dangerous in the NFL, using footage from a game against the Oklahoma Sooners to show what a weapon he is.

Of course, there's no guarantee that RGIII will be a Cleveland Browns player by the time it's all said and done but draft rumors tend to work in cycles so there's likely a chance that when the Redskins and Seahawks type rumors start to slow down we'll be right back to seeing Griffin at the fourth overall pick for the Browns, or at least in the Browns' hands at second overall after a trade.
