NFL Mock Draft 2012: SB Nation Mocks Morris Claiborne To Browns

With the Super Bowl finally over and the final draft order finally in place, NFL mock drafts can start to take on a bit more of a touch of realism. The new SB Nation 2012 Mock Draft is out now and there are some interesting new moves contained within, specifically regarding Baylor QB Robert Griffin III, a favorite pick for the Cleveland Browns in mock drafts so far in 2012.

Griffin in this mock is picked up by the Seattle Seahawks via a trade with the Minnesota Vikings, leaving the Browns rather out in the air without their favorite pick gone. In that vein, the mock draft has Cleveland instead bolstering the secondary with LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne.

If Cleveland does keep this pick and Griffin is off the board, they have some choices to make. Trent Richardson or Justin Blackmon are both viable options here. But Claiborne upgrades what was already a solid defense, which should pay immediate dividends.

Of course trying to predict trades is complete speculation at any point of a mock draft, but it's an interesting scenario to have play out in your head. The Browns are a team with several needs obviously so losing Griffin wouldn't be the biggest blow in the world to them, and of course with two picks in the first round there is always a chance that a trade could still happen for them.
