Defensive end Frostee Rucker, he of four sacks with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2011, was signed by the Cleveland Browns back on Wednesday. It looks like he was one of the biggest off season priorities for the Cleveland front office and for good reason, NFL Radio's Daryl Ruiter reported on Thursday that Rucker would be an immediate starter for the Browns in 2012.
Other tweets from Thursday showed that Rucker had wanted a bigger role defensively, something that he is obviously getting right away with the Browns. The 28 year old started 11 games last season and ended up collecting 44 tackles and four sacks, both career highs. He will start across from young Jabaal Sheard, who picked up 8.5 sacks for the Browns last season along with 55 tackles and five forced fumbles.
