NFL Mock Draft 2012: Browns Back To Square One, Which Could Mean Trent Richardson At No. 4

The Browns did not win the Robert Griffin III sweepstakes which means they're back to square one on which direction they'll go with the No. 4 overall pick. There's no consensus on who they're most interested in, with potential selections ranging from Matt Kalil, Ryan Tannehill, Morris Claiborne, and running back Trent Richardson. ESPN's Todd McShay released his third version of his mock draft, reflecting the Redskins trade and re-shuffled top five. And McShay has the Browns back to selecting Richardson.

Via Todd McShay of ESPN:

The Browns couldn't get over the top in the RG3 derby, but they do get a possible franchise running back. Richardson is the most complete prospect to enter the draft at that position since Adrian Peterson in 2007.

Drafting a running back at the top of the draft is against conventional wisdom, but as McShay notes, Richardson is the kind of back that could break the conventional mold.
