2012 NFL Draft: David Wilson Visiting With The Browns

Many have scrambled to find an appropriate pick in their latest mock drafts for the Cleveland Browns at No. 4. Most had them taking Robert Griffin III, to instantly solve their problems at quarterback, but with the Washington Redskins already trading up for what most assume is that right, folks are scrambling to figure out where to go. Do the Browns take another quarterback, or some other player?

Most are assuming that they'll just take running back Trent Richardson, which is probably the lazy option. The Browns do need to invest in the running back position in the future, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to do it at No. 4. Or if they do, it doesn't mean that they're going to go with Richardson. Scout.com is reporting that the Browns are set to bring in David Wilson, who is the second-highest ranked running back on their rankings.

It's not out of the realm of possibility to think Wilson could go at No. 4 - or perhaps it means the Browns could be interested in trading down. At the very least, the Browns are aware they have a need at the running back position, and are doing their due diligence. Wilson rushed for 1,709 yards in 2011, and had nine touchdowns.
