2012 NFL Mock Draft: Browns Select Alabama RB Trent Richardson

The Cleveland Browns have a lot of holes to fill, and the mock drafts have reflected that by having the team go a number of ways with its No. 4 overall pick. In the latest from Will Brinson of CBSSports.com, the Browns use the pick to grab Alabama RB Trent Richardson.

As Brinson writes, the addition of Richardson could be a huge help to Colt McCoy.

Both Tannehill and Blackmon could make sense here, but the gap between Richardson and the next-best running back is a gulf compared to Blackmon and the next-best wideout. Colt McCoy actually looked good his rookie year when the Browns had a capable back in Peyton Hillis. Richardson becomes all that and more.

If Richardson isn't selected by the Browns, many mock drafts have suggested that he would not make it past the No. 5 pick, held by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
