While the SB Nation mothership seems to think that the Cleveland Browns are going to make quarterback Ryan Tannehill the No. 4 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, his chances may have taken a hit, at least, if Daryl Ruiter is anything to go by. But before that, we'll get to the interesting bit of pertinent news: Tannehill didn't get to meet with Browns team president Mike Holmgren due to a weather delay:
Tannehill tells @BullandFox he was supposed to meet w/ Holmgren but the weather delay w/ his trip forced it to be cancelled
— Daryl Ruiter (@RuiterWrongFAN) April 23, 2012
So there's that - Tannehill didn't meet with Holmgren, or at least he didn't recently. It's likely the two have talked, of course, but Ruiter followed it up with some Tweets suggesting that there was now no chance that Tannehill is the pick because Holmgrem is a big quarterback guy and not meeting with him is detrimental to the selection.
This would seem to imply that Tannehill isn't going to to be able to meet with Holmgren prior to the draft on April 26, but one has to think that, if he felt it was going to seriously get in the way of being selected No. 4 overall, he'd have found a way to meet with Holmgren. Still, interesting to see that Ruiter is so set in his opinion based on this one missed trip.
