Early SI 2013 NFL Mock Draft Has Browns Going With A Defensive Linemen In Top 10

Immediately following the 2012 NFL Draft, we had grades, analysis and roster projections rolling out for every team at a rapid clip. Each pick was scrutinized and each team had their season judged solely on the seven-ish players they walked away with. So what next?

Why, 2013 NFL Mock Drafts of course! That's the logical next step - who needs all that mucking about with the regular season and the playoffs, when we can speculate on the next group of guys that will surely be better than the first? In all seriousness, we already covered what SB Nation thought was going to happen for the Cleveland Browns in their early 2013 mock draft, so how about an outside take?

Andew Perloff of Sports Illustrated posted his 2013 NFL mock draft, and he's got the Browns picking at No. 6:

6. Cleveland Browns -- Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU

After focusing on offense in this year's draft, the Browns turn back to defense in 2013. Montgomery had nine sacks last season and stands out on a defense once again loaded with future NFL players.

The Browns definitely did focus on offense in this draft - bringing in running back Trent Richardson and quarterback Brandon Weeden. It will be interesting to see how the defense performs in 2011, given that they were generally regarded as having a strong defensive draft in 2011. Will those guys have a strong sophomore campaign?

They'll probably need to if Cleveland is going to be picking any later than No. 6 as this mock forecasts.
