Browns Draft Pick James-Michael Johnson Agrees To Deal

The Cleveland Browns were busy on Wednesday afternoon. After reportedly signing seventh-round draft pick Brad Smelley to a four-year $2.14 million contract, the team also came to terms with fourth-round selection James-Michael Johnson. The announcement came via Johnson's agent Scott Smith's twitter account.

Citing league sources, Aaron Wilson announced that the deal is worth $2.52 million over four years.

Johnson is a six-foot, 241 pound middle linebacker out of Nevada. He originally began his college career as the strong-side linebacker before being moved to middle linebacker out of necessity prior to the start of his junior year. He started 50 games (23 on the outside; 27 in the middle) and recorded close to 300 tackles.

Last year he recorded 100 tackles, forced a fumble and had an interception.
