Browns, Brandon Weeden Close To A Deal, According To Report

Having just singed running back Trent Richardson, the Cleveland Browns are close to signing their other first-round pick, Brandon Weeden, according to an ESPN.com report.

According to sources cited by ESPN.com, the Browns and Weeden hope to finalize a deal Tuesday. From ESPN:

After finalizing a contract with running back Trent Richardson, the Cleveland Browns are on the verge of a deal with their second first-round draft pick, quarterback Brandon Weeden, according to sources.

The two sides spoke into the night, are now "close" to a deal, and are hoping to wrap it up today, sources said.

The Plain Dealer is reporting that the fourth-year guarantee is the last hurdle to signing Weeden. ESPN reports that Richardson's deal is for four years and $20.4 guaranteed, including a $13.6 million signing bonus.
