Brandon Weeden may have already been named the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns, but that doesn't mean he's on the radar of fantasy-football players just yet. Fake Teams, the fantasy sports site of SB Nation, recently released their 2012 fantasy football quarterback rankings and Weeden did not crack the top 32.
The 28-year-old Weeden was named the starting quarterback on Aug. 6, beating out Colt McCoy, who started 13 games for the Browns in 2011. Prior to the start of last season, Fake Teams ranked McCoy as the No. 25 quarterback. McCoy was unranked in the initial rankings, but rose up to No. 25 with a strong showing in preseason.
If Weeden is going to accomplish the same thing and make Fake Teams' final quarterback rankings, he will have to play better than he did in the Browns' preseason opener. Weeden completed just three of nine passes for 62 yards in the opener. He was also intercepted once.
