Cleveland Browns kick returner Joshua Cribbs may share some of the punt return duties this season, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.
"Josh is going to return kicks for us," Shurmur said. "Josh is also a very outstanding cover guy. He's a playmaker on special teams, both in the return phase and in the coverage phase. We have some other guys out that are working on return. We've seen Travis Benjamin do it, Buster (Skrine). The list goes on of younger, kind of fast type, different style guys. I would expect that you'll see them from time to time."
Cribbs made a name for himself in the NFL with his kick return ability as he prepares to begin his eighth season in the league. Cribbs has eight career kickoff returns for a touchdowns and three career punt return touchdowns. Last season Cribbs averaged 11.4 yards on 34 punt returns with one touchdown on an 84-yard return against Baltimore in Week 16
